About Rosemont in Bloom – Where Art Takes Root

In celebration of the Village of Rosemont’s 70th anniversary, we are proud to introduce an exciting new public art initiative: “Rosemont in Bloom – Where Art Takes Root.” This one-of-a-kind community art experience is designed to celebrate creativity, culture, and civic pride while transforming Rosemont into a vibrant outdoor showcase of artistic expression. Through this special anniversary project, various locations throughout the village will become colorful open-air galleries that invite residents and visitors alike to explore, experience, and engage with public art in an entirely new way.

At the heart of the initiative will be 20 larger-than-life, 8-foot resin rose sculptures permanently installed in prominent locations throughout Rosemont. Each sculpture will serve as a unique artistic statement, custom designed and hand-painted by a diverse group of professional and student artists representing a wide range of styles, backgrounds, and creative perspectives. Inspired by the beauty and symbolism of the rose, every piece will reflect themes of growth, community, imagination, and local identity while adding energy and visual excitement to the village landscape.

“Rosemont in Bloom – Where Art Takes Root” is more than an art display — it is a celebration of community connection, artistic collaboration, and the continued growth of Rosemont over the past seven decades. Residents and visitors will be encouraged to discover the sculptures throughout the village, creating memorable experiences, photo opportunities, and a renewed appreciation for public art and local talent. The completed sculptures are scheduled to be unveiled in late August 2026 as part of Rosemont’s ongoing 70th anniversary celebrations.
